Day 1 : Arrival to Capapdocia ( Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport ) and transfer to  hotel

Meal : Not included

Day 2 : South Of Capapdocia tour

Cappadocia Optional Early Morning Activitiy;

* Hot Air Balloon Flight Tour in Cappadocia - It offers sweeping views of the rocky landscape of Cappadocia.

Morning start for the tour at 09:30 am

Sites:

* Derinkuyu Underground City - The biggest underground settlement in the world which was used as a shelter by Christians of Cappaodcia especially in 7th and 8th C AD.

* Ihlara Valley, enjoy an easy hike through the best part of the valley along the Melendiz stream, look up and see many of Byzantine era  churches, chapels, monasteries and hermits’ caves.

*Belisirma Village- Located in the middle of Ihlara Canyon. The walk ends up at the village and have the lunch here beside the river.

* Selime Monastery - It has a great view looking down the valley. The complexes were carved into volcanic rock outcroppings during the Byzantine period.

* Pigeon Valley, named after the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the slope of the valley .

Day 3 : Cappadocia tour

Morning start for the tour at 09:30 am

Sites: 

* Goreme Open Air Musuem - We see the famous  rock-cut churches & monasteries of Cappadocia  with frescoes from 10-13 C AD.These churches have the best wall paintings of Capapdocia).

We enter to one of the cave houses which are used as a cafeteria today and have an apple tea and see the interior of the cave house.

* Pashabagi fairy-chimneys valley known as Monks Valley as well.Here we see the natural mushroom ike rock formations and monks cells inside the rock formations. 

* Avanos - Historic Pottery Town of Cappadocia. The first settlement in Avanos was established by the Hitites on the bank of the Red River which provided  abundance of red clay to the settlers.This art has been practised in Avanos since 19 C BC.   

* Dervent valley – also called as Pink or Imagination valley with Its famous pink rock formations.Here depends on your imagination power you will see many rock formatins look like different figures..The most remarkable one is the siting  stone camel...

* Urgup fairy-chimneys - They are the symbol of Cappadocia with their caps on top. There are 5 mushroom -like  rocvk formations just like a family 
*
Rose Valley -One of the best places to watch the sun set in Cappadocia .The color of the valley turns to pink even red in the end of the day .

***The sun set is optional. If you have time we will show you the sun set. Otherwise we just see the valley in the end of the day and go back to your hotel

Day 4 : Cappadocia- Gaziantep  (418 km )


 Departure to Antep at 08:00 am

On the way we stop to have famous Turkish ice cream in Maras
Arrival at 0230 pm and visit :
*Zeugma Mosaic Musuem – one of the best mosaic musuem in the World. It is housing mosaics from Roman and Byzantine era
* T
he traditional bazaars and hans such as the copper Smith bazaar, the tobbacco bazaar, the grain bazaars etc..
*
Baklava tastefamous turkish sweet

And check in hotel

Day 5 : Antep- Harran- Urfa (250 m )
After breakfast departure to  Urfa .
On the way we stop in Birecik to see the Ibis birds
Birecik which is famous with its bald-ibis ( Kel aynak ) birds. These birds are living only in Bilecik in the world. There is not many of them left. There is a Breeding farm of Bald-Ibis birds. Arrival to Urfa
First visit
Abrahams Cave - where it is believed  Prophet Abraham was born and the Pond  of Holy Carp where  the prophet was thrown into the fire and the fire converted to water and burning fire wood to fish according to an Islamic legend, than walk around oriental covered bazaar and see the most tradtional bazaar which has arabic influence then  drive to Harran which is a village of Spellbinding Mud-Brick "beehive like " houses mentioned in the book of genesis where Abraham spend last years of his life. Visit the ruins of Harran including city walls, oldest Islamic university and the castle dated to 8 C AD and back to Urfa to the hotel

Day 6 : Urfa-Gobeklitepe- Kahta  (180 km )


Today we depart to Kahta.

On the way we visit :

*Gobeklitepe Temple – it is dated back to 9000 BC and considered the first temple of mankind.We see some of the 12 temples in the same area.
*
Ataturk Dam – The biggest Dam which was built on Euphrates river
Upon arrival to Kahta we visit :

Roman Bridge of Cendere and Tumulus Tomb of Karakus, Arsemia which was the capital of Kommagene Kingdom ,  and check in Mountain Hotel  nearby Mount Nemrut

Day 7 : Mount-Nemrut- Diyarbakir – Tatvan (390 km )

In the arly morning around 0400 am departing to Mount Nemrut which is 2150 mt high, After get off the minibus twenty five minutes walking up hill  on foot to the summit of the mountain where you will watch the beautiful sun rise between the colossal size statues and heads of the kings and Gods. After sun rises, time to walk around and take pictures and see the North and West Terrace of the Mountain. The West Terrace is the symetrical of the east terrace

 

Back to hotel for breakfst.After breakfast relax till 0900 am  and departure to Tatvan via Diyarbakir.

In Diyarbakir we visit Ulu (Camii) Mosque- it was a church but after the islamic conquest half of it was used a church and the other half mosque, City walls of the city- longest city walls of Turkey, the city walls look like Turbot fish from air, Virgin Mary Church  (Chaldanian Church), and continue our drive to Tatvan

Hotel : The Crater
 

Day 8: Tatvan –Crater Lake  – Ahlat – Van  ( 295 km )


Today after breakfast departure at 0830 am to Nemrut Crater lake   .

After 20 km journey we arrive to the crater and view this beautiful crater lake.

Later we drive another 15 km to see Ahlat Turkish Selcuk  Tombs from 11-13 C AD. The tomb Stones around 2 m-2,5 meters high. LAter we depart to Van. On the way we stop to see  Akdamar Island and monastery 

we  embark on little boat and sail to Akdamar Island which is  in Lake Van  where Akdamar Monastery was built in 9 the C AD by the Armenian King Gagik The First . We see the church and the frescoes in the church and the beautfiul carved relief on the outer part of the walls .

Day 9 : Van halfday tour


Today after breakfast relax till 1230 pm.

Departure from hotel at 1230 pm and visit :

Cavustepe ( Urartu Castle - which was constructed for the military and economical

aims between 764 - 735  BC ) .

*Van Cat’s Farm ( we will see the famous Van cats which has one blue eye and one green eye

*Van Castle ( which is situated in the middle of Van plain on a splendid rock and facing to Lake Van - The sun set is fantastic from here).

Day 10 : Van- Dogubeyazit – Kars  ( 365 km )

On the way we stop to see:

* Muradiye waterfall
*  Ishakpasa Palace
( it is more like a complex which was constructed through the

end of the 18th C.the palace was modeled from Topkapi Palace of IStanbul where the sultans lived  and once its facade was decorated with jade and other precious stones)

* Photo stop to view Mount Ararat The highest Mountain of Turkey ( 5135 M) where

it is believed Noah's Ark landed.

Upon arrival we visit the 12 Apostles Church of Kars  ( an Armenian Church ).

Day 11 :  Kars-Ani-Artvin ( 270 km )

Today in the morning we will visit  Ani which was The Great City of the Armenians till 11 C AD when the Turks conquered it. Here we will see the city walls , the stone Armenian churches , caravanserai, the border between Turkey and Armenia  and depart to Artvin.

on the way  we will visit :

Hamamli Church (Georgian Church)

Photo Stop at Coruh Valley ( it has fantastic scenery with the dam lake inside it) arrival to Artvin and check in hotel

Day 12 : Artvin Borcka Karagol Lake – Ayder  ( 175 km )

Departure from the hotel after breakfast  to Black Sea coasts on the way we visit

the magnificent Borcka Karagol Lake , an amazing lake located  up in the mountain and surrounded with forests.

Upon arrival to Ayder we see Ayder Plateau , Zil kale ( Castle located on a hilly place on bank of Firtina Valley with a great scenery and the little waterfalls of Ayder

Day 13 : Ayder- Rize-Uzungol – Trabzon (250 km )

Today free in the morning to enjoy the scenery of Ayder and its waterfall  and departure to Trabzon at 1130 am

On the way we will see ;

* Rize The city of tea leaves in Turkey,  here we visit tea and Botanic garden

and taste the delicious tea of Rize.

On the way to Uzungol  we stop at a tea factory and see the processing way.

Uzungol  Lake ( A Lake surrounded by mountains which is  full of  forests )

Arrival and check in hotel in Trabzon

Day 14  : Trabzon

Fullday Trabzon Tour

* Sumela Monastery  (A Greek Monastery built on the cliff of Melas Mountain

which has 40 rooms and 2 churches decorated with beautiful frescoes )

* Hagia Sophia of Trabzon ( A Greek  church was built in 13 C AD .)

* Fatih Mosque ( Essentially a Greek church and converted into Mosque in 15 C by the Turks )

* Trabzon Museum The mansion which is reorganized as the Trabzon Museum was built by

banker Kostaki Teophylaktos between 1889-1913 as a large family accommodation.

Ataturkevi ( Ataturk House ) A Greek house which was used as a summer house

by Ataturk the founder of Turkey and named after him Ataturk House and back to Hotel

Day 15 : Trabzon – Tirebolu- Giresun- Ordu- Jason Promontary – Ordu  ( 250  km )

Today we will drive a long Black sea coasts..On one side we see the gree  Black Sea Mountains and on other side Black sea. Very scenic drive..

We will stop to see :

*Tirebolu Castle – a Small but very charming castle located on water front small hill , built during Miletians era around 10 th C Bc and renovated in later centuries.
*Giresun Castle :Built by Pontus King  on a small hill overlooking the black sea .
* Gogora Chuch&Musuem: a 19 C Greek ortodox Church which is used as a small archeological musuem today

*The Ancient Greek Neighbourhood: Ancient Greek Houses
*
Ordu  Cable car : We ride on a cable car and get lifted till Boztepe Mountain and view the fantastic Black Sea Coasts.
*
Persembe Jason Promontory : We see the church of Jason which is located on the tip of the promontory.

Arrrival to Samsun and check in Hotel

Day 17 :  Transfer to  Ordu-Giresun airport and end of our tour
